TCS Aims To Speed Up Cloud Migration

During the last few months, the use of cloud computing resources has increased among large corporations and small and medium-sized businesses. In the United States, the cloud computing market is expected to hit $295 billion by the end of this year. And by 2022, 90% of organizations will be using cloud services.

Yet in a survey by Velostrata, half of companies currently migrating to the cloud have found the process more challenging than anticipated, with 73% of projects taking a year or more to complete.

That isn’t surprising. Complex cloud modernization programs come with a range of risks, including infrastructure configuration, application integration issues, and performance bottlenecks. To address all of these issues, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched a version of its Cloud Assurance Platform services designed for organizations embarking on cloud migration or modernization with Microsoft Azure.

Founded 50 years ago, TCS generated consolidated revenues of $22 billion in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2020, and currently has more than 469,000 consultants in 46 countries.

The Cloud Assurance Platform utilizes holistic automated test coverage, including automated infrastructure testing, data migration validation, and functional and non-functional testing so that organizations can benchmark important goals. The company boasts that its automated Azure test suite enables 100% test coverage and is known to deliver over 70% improvement in speed to market.

In addition, TCS' Quality Engineering and Transformation (QET) Platform services enable leaner and faster assurance processes across both infrastructure and applications for Microsoft Azure. The process includes a stepwise migration of each application to Azure, with assurance services performed at each step.

"Enterprises require a comprehensive assurance ecosystem in place to manage risks while ensuring the business goals of the modernization are met," said Siva Ganesan, Global Head of the Microsoft Business Unit at TCS. "The purpose driven focus of TCS' Cloud Assurance Platform services curated for Microsoft Cloud helps assure certainty across an organization's cloud journey."
