Navisite Continues Quest To Become Cloud Services Powerhouse

Navisite has acquired Privo, a consulting partner in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN). This purchase is a strong move to bolster Navisite’s AWS service portfolio. CEO Mark Clayman highlighted “Privo’s strong market reputation as an APN Premier Consulting Partner and highly skilled, certified experts,” in the company’s decision to make this acquisition.

Privo primarily serves the life sciences, financial services, and public sector, in addition to e-commerce, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Software-as-a-Service (Saas), though they work across other industries as well. They work to ensure that their customers can build, migrate, manage, and optimize their AWS infrastructure securely.

Privo is looking forward to the ways this partnership will allow them to improve their public infrastructure optimization and managed services business, according to Privo co-founder Nick Underwood. From Navisite’s perspective, acquiring Privo will allow them to expand their AWS and cloud services. Improved capabilities will include cloud assessment and planning, as well as migration, cost optimization, and managed DevOps.

Back in March, CRN slated Navisite as set to become “a powerhouse in bringing cloud services to the midmarket,” following a two-year revamp and a variety of acquisitions. Within the prior year, Navisite’s RDX, a full-stack services provider, had consolidated three MSPs, including clckwrk and ClearDB under the Navisite brand, seeing it as the best home for RDX’s wide-ranging service offerings. Navisite’s recent achievement of AWS Well Architected Partner Status is yet another accomplishment in its upward trajectory.

The 2019 acquisition of clckwrk was made to further strengthen Navisite’s AWS practice as it aids customers in transitioning to the cloud. As it does so, its focus will also be on lowering cost and accelerating overall IT transformation.

Navisite is aiming to build a mid-market niche, with customers in the $100 million to $2 billion range, though Clayman also says the company’s growth will be organic and strategic. Addtionally, Clayman says Navisite is platform-agnostic, and the company does indeed back up the claim with certified experts across AWS, Microsoft, Azure, Google Cloud, and hundreds of other cloud platforms.
