Leading Microsoft Azure services provider, 3Cloud, announced that it has acquired Applied Cloud Systems, the award-winning cloud technologies consultancy based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Launched in 2016 by Mike Rocco and Jim Dietrich, former Microsoft general managers leading a combined $2 billion corporate accounts organization, 3Cloud is a “born in the cloud” Azure Expert Managed Services Provider and consulting firm that offers cloud strategy, design, implementation, and managed services to clients spanning multiple industries. The announcement comes only a few days after 3Cloud was named the 2020 Microsoft United States Azure Influencer Partner Award Winner.
Backed by private equity firm Gryphon Investors, 3Cloud’s acquisition will see the company expand its geographical reach to become one of the largest and most experienced Azure services firms in the U.S., in line with the company’s vision to “enable 3Cloud to create the most comprehensive set of Azure offerings available in the marketplace,” as shared by Jim Dietrich, 3Cloud President and Co-Founder. “With the backing of our new financial partner, Gryphon Investors, we are just beginning our next phase of organic and acquisition-driven growth and look forward to continuing to expand our Azure capabilities and resources to meet our mission of delivering the ultimate Azure experience for our clients.”
